PROJECT
The Yung Wing Project began in 2006 by me, lowly
undergraduate history student Cassandra Bates. I
initially developed it in order to host my
transcription of Yung Wing's hard-to-find*,
yet freely available memoir (My
Life in China and America). The
website has since grown to contain a variety of public
domain texts, visual material and information on the
subject.
